The study aims to assess the viability of utilizing frass from Black Soldier Fly Larvae (BSFL) as a compost ingredient by evaluating its composition and impact on compost quality. Four experimental compost piles with varying ratios of BSFL frass and sheddings, along with other nitrogen feedstocks, were developed and analyzed for pH, nutrient content, stability, and maturity. The research seeks to provide insights into the effective utilization of insect rearing waste for compost production.
